Ánade Rabudo, Anas acuta, Pintail

Para mi es una de las anátidas más elegantes de Europa. Cría en el norte de Eurasia y en Norteamérica. La subespecie acuta es la que aparece en Europa. Es un ánade netamente migratorio y se le ve con frecuencia en invierno. Los primeros ejemplares comienzan a llegar durante el mes de septiembre, aunque el grueso de los efectivos llegan entre noviembre y diciembre; el paso primaveral, por su parte, empieza a mediados de febrero y se prolonga hasta abril. El plumaje de la hembra y el mancho son totalmente diferentes como se muestra en algunas fotografías. En Madrid se le puede ver en graveras y pantanos. 

For me is one of the most beautiful ducks that we can see in Europe. It breeds in northern Eurasia and North America. The acuta subspecies is the one that breed in Europe. It is a purely migratory ducks and can be seen in winter time. The first individuals arrive in September, but most of them arrive in November and December; spring migration begins in mid-February and continues until April. The plumage of the female and the mate are totally different as I shown in some pictures. In Madrid we can find in dams and lagoons.
