Gaviotas fieles a sus lugares de invernada. Parte I/Gulls faithful to his wintering areas. Part I
Thousands of Gulls winter in Madrid, the observation of banded birds lets us know that some individuals are very loyal to their wintering areas. In these posts I show some banded birds that we saw during different years in the same place. Some birds come to Madrid the same month, the same day and 4-hour time difference from the previous year, as was the case of green MAFA, ringed by Kees Camphuysen on the island of Texel, Holland and carrying a GPS, this gull were first seen in October 2007 in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid and later in October 2008 in the same location, thanks to GPS data we know that in 2008 arrived to Madrid 4 hours later than 2007.
