Miles de Gaviotas Sombrías pasan el invierno en la Comunidad de Madrid, la observación de aves anilladas nos permite saber lo fieles que son algunos individuos a sus zonas de invernada. En las siguientes entradas pongo individuos anillados y vistos en diferentes años en el mismo lugar. algunos llegan a Madrid el mismo mes, el mismo día y con 4 horas de diferencia respecto al año previo, como fue el caso de la verde MAFA, anillada por Kees Camphuysen en la isla de Texel, Holanda y que portaba un GPS, esta gaviota se vio por primera vez en Octubre de 2007 en Colmenar Viejo, Madrid y posteriormente en Octubre de 2008 en el mismo lugar, los datos del GPS indicaron que en 2008 llego con 4 horas de diferencia respecto al año 2007.
Thousands of Gulls
winter in Madrid, the observation of banded birds lets us know that some
individuals are very loyal to their wintering areas. In these posts I show some
banded birds that we saw during different years in the same place. Some birds come
to Madrid the same month, the same day and 4-hour time difference from the
previous year, as was the case of green MAFA, ringed by Kees Camphuysen on the
island of Texel, Holland and carrying a GPS, this gull were first seen in
October 2007 in Colmenar Viejo, Madrid and later in October 2008 in the same
location, thanks to GPS data we know that in 2008 arrived to Madrid 4 hours later
than 2007.
