In this second post I'm going to show some pictures of Long-eared Owl.
The Long-eared Owl is more difficult to observe than the Common Owl. It also can be seen year around. It usually breed in abandoned nests of corvids, especially magpies and if it does not suffer disturb, it can breed in periphery city parks of cities such as Madrid.
In winter time he usually kip in groups in tall pines, but it is not easy to locate because it camouflages very well.

The habit of breeding and resting in magpie nests, sometimes causing them serious problems. This individual became hooked with a cord in a trunk, probably when he trying to hunt some mouse. It was lucky that we discovered them and after being in Grefa (a recovery center in Madrid), few days later it was released in the same place.
